Jupiter is the guru of the gods (Devaguru) and the planetary karaka of wisdom, sacred knowledge, and initiation. Upanayana literally initiates a boy into sacred study, so Jupiter's strength in the muhurtha chart is non-negotiable. Guru Asta (Jupiter combustion) periods are strictly prohibited.
