Ashtakavarga Transit Score

When a planet transits a sign, its Ashtakavarga bindu score for that sign quantifies the strength of the transit. 4+ bindus: favourable; 3 or below: cautious; 0: the weakest possible transit.

Dasha-Transit Correlation

Transits matter most when they activate the natal placement or the sign/house of your current Dasha lord. AstroShri highlights every transit that touches the active Mahadasha and Antardasha lords.

Sade Sati & Kandaka Shani

Saturn's 7.5-year cycle over your natal Moon (Sade Sati) and its placement in the 4th/8th/10th (Kandaka positions) are automatically computed and displayed on the transit timeline.

Which transit is most important?

Saturn and Jupiter transits carry the most weight for long-term life events because of their slow movement — Saturn takes 2.5 years per sign, Jupiter 1 year. For shorter-term events, the Moon (2.5 days per sign) and Mars (1.5 months per sign) are watched closely, especially when they transit sensitive natal points during Dasha activations.

What is the Vedakha position?

Vedakha (also called Vedha) is a blocking transit position. Classical Vedic transit rules include Vedha pairs — if one planet transits a favourable position but another planet simultaneously occupies the Vedha position for that transit, the favourable result is blocked or reduced. AstroShri checks Vedha for all major transit rules.

How does AstroShri combine transit and Dasha?

Transits alone are weak; Dasha determines whether you are in a period where the natal chart is activated. AstroShri's transit view shows which transits fall within your current Mahadasha-Antardasha window and ranks them by the combined transit-Dasha interaction — transits that hit active Dasha lords are flagged highest.
