AstroShri ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

1. Data We Collect

When you use AstroShri, we may collect:

• Account data — name, email address, and password hash when you register.
• Birth details — date, time, and place of birth used to compute your Kundali. This data is stored encrypted.
• Payment data — transaction IDs from Razorpay, PhonePe, or Stripe. We do not store card numbers or bank account details.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and session duration for product improvement.
• WhatsApp number — if you subscribe to TithiSync, we store your phone number to deliver alerts.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To compute and display your Vedic birth chart, Dasha periods, and Panchanga.
• To send TithiSync WhatsApp reminders you have subscribed to.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To respond to support queries.
• To improve and develop AstroShri features.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your birth details for any purpose other than computing your requested astrology output.

3. Data Sharing

We share data only with:

• Payment processors — Razorpay, PhonePe, Stripe (for transaction processing only).
• WhatsApp Business API — to deliver TithiSync alerts you opted into.
• Hosting infrastructure — our servers are located in India.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your birth details and personal data are erased within 30 days. Payment transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent for WhatsApp alerts at any time.
• Export your chart data in PDF format (Sarathi and Acharya plans).

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use minimal cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Anonymous usage analytics may be collected to improve the product.

7. Security

Birth details are stored encrypted. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We conduct periodic security reviews.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
